Collections Trust and Brighton-based online consultancy TalkWebSolutions have announced a new partnership to re-launch the award-winning Collections Link service for museum, archive and library professionals.

Launched in 2006, Collections Link has become the leading source of Collections Management information. Following extensive consultation with the UK and international Collections Management community, the service is being redeveloped to provide a platform for practitioners to connect, share their knowledge and learn from the experiences of their peers.

Nick Poole, Collections Trust Chief Executive, commented:

“We are hugely excited about this next phase in the evolution of Collections Link. Collections Management is a global community, and it has never been more important to demonstrate that we can work together both to achieve greater value for the public and to deliver more efficient management. To achieve our vision for Collections Management, we need a partner at the frontline of social media, and TalkWebSolutions is the perfect choice.”

Nick Tong, TalkWebSolutions CTO commented:

'Collections Trust is a forward- thinking organisation, and we are very excited to be working with them and developing a system to match their vision.  We are developing cutting edge features which will not only make their site stand out, but also stay current for longer, allowing important information to be disseminated to users easily and more efficiently.'

The new Collections Link site will go live in Spring 2010 with a host of new services including tools to help practitioners connect with expert groups and networks; a subscribers’ area to help users find all the Collections Management advice and information they need; and an enhanced database of training and professional development opportunities. If you would like to help ensure that Collections Link meets the needs of the Collections Management community, you can volunteer to test the site as it evolves.

We're very big fans of CFML / ColdFusion and a way in which we show this is via sponsoring events. We've recently sponsored cf.Objective().

cf.Objective() is the first conference to concentrate entirely on the most advanced and cutting-edge techniques in the ColdFusion world.

  • The top speakers in the ColdFusion community -- Sean Corfield, Jason Delmore, Mark Drew, Chris Scott, Mark Mandel, Joe Rinehart and many more.
  • In-depth, solid presentations on more advanced topics -- perfect for your intermediate and senior developers!
  • An intimate atmosphere -- small enough to give your developers access to those experienced speakers and attendees, so that they will learn even while they network!
